I use my laptop for everything. Including homeschooling my children. I was desperate to get it repaired. I didn't have... the funds for a new motherboard and searched YouTube for a repair guide. That's where I realized that 1) this was a very difficult soldering job and 2) Power Jack Repair made it look so easy. So I sent it to them from 3 States away. Everything happened exactly as explained on their website. They received my motherboard in the evening and had it repaired and shipped by noon the next day. Power Jack Repair had the part in stock. The tech soldered with such precision (as if it was second nature to him). They had absolutely no additional fees or upselling. They answered all of my questions over a chain of emails prior to shipping. They were quick to respond. Even in the evening. I am overjoyed with how quick and painless this whole process was. Holy cow! Received my son's laptop back today (Monday 6/22) even though they just received it on Friday. Honestly, I was nervous shipping my laptop so far away for repair but Best Buy wanted to keep my laptop for 5 weeks and... said repair cost would start at $500+. This gaming laptop is my lifeline and not just for games, I use it for a variety of things (from volunteer work to business management) and could not be without it for that long. I started searching online for how to repair it myself, that search lead me to this company, they had a youtube video on how to repair my exact laptop and he did it so efficiently. After both the Geek Squad and the manufacturer refused to even try to fix my laptop, and claiming that it could... possibly be a $200-$300 repair, I sent my laptop off here and I'm very glad that I did. I Drove over and they took my machine immediately. Fixed it within an hour and it works great. I've personally repair... laptops (i.e. Hard Drives, Memory, Motherboards) but you'll have to disassemble the entire machine and likely need to solder the part on. If you strip a screw or break a piece of plastic on the machine you're screwed. The parts can run 30.00 and you'll have to wait a couple days for shipping. For me it was well worth 100.00 to get my machine back on the same day. Thanks.read more
